More news about the St Barnabas Vision.

At the recent PCC ,the Parochial Church Council agreed ,unanimously, to back St Barnabas’ participation in the scheme run by West London Churches Homeless Concern to provide termporary accomodation for homeless men and women during the coldest months. This is a well run project operating across Kensington, Putney and Barnes, in which each church hosts guests for one night each week, providing a good meal and a warm and safe place to sleep. Staff from the charity take care of the people and the church overnight ,and there will be no disturbance to local residents.

It was also agreed to join with our neighbouring churches, St Anne in Wandsworth and St Paul in Wimbledon Park, in a project to raise funds for a Childrens’ and Youth Worker to help us develop our ministry with young people. We are hoping that such a project will also help us to develop stronger links as local churches together.

We are still in discussions with Notice-Board manufacturers about how to improve the signage outside the church to make ourselves more visible to local residents and and passers-by.
