You are invited to join Bishop Martin and other pilgrims – along with local Southfields green groups and creatives – for a Green Gathering at St Barnabas. Bishop Martin is leading a pilgrimage during Green Week, walking across Southwark Diocese and stopping at 60 churches along the way – including St Barnabas. The pilgrims are coming to St Barnabas on Tuesday 10 June, and everyone is welcome to join us for an evening of song, poetry, story and conversation about how we sustain local action on climate and nature, and what the eco-journey means for each of us.
Refreshments will be provided by church members of St Barnabas.
Our Green Gathering is part of Bishop Martin’s project ‘Walking into the heart of creation’, a 6-day Eco-pilgrimage starting on 8 June at the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Chaldon, Surrey and ending on 13 June with a Choral Evensong at Southwark Cathedral. To be a pilgrim yourself, register here to walk part or all of the way. Each day’s itinerary is divided into two halves. Sign up for as many days or half-days as you wish.
